Pata da Burra

Inspired by the name of one of the fields on the property, Pata da Burra was the chosen name by the family for our wine brand. Similar to the shape of the field, the label also reflects a horseshoe-shaped cutout.

Wine made in Casa de Algar

Winemaking

They are characteristic and unique green wines from a specific region in Northern Portugal. The grapes used in winemaking come from the vineyards of Casa de Algar and showcase the full potential of the grape varieties used, whether in blended wines or single-varietal wines.

Using the following grape varieties: Arinto, Loureiro, Avesso, Trajadura, Alvarinho, Fernão Pires e Chardonnay

Vinhos Verdes

Using mainly grape varieties such as Arinto, Loureiro, Avesso, Trajadura, Alvarinho, and Chardonnay.

Red & Rosé

Their range also includes a Rosé wine made from Espadeiro and Touriga Nacional grape varieties, as well as a Red wine produced mainly from the Vinhão grape variety.
